Before After Statement Explanation
15 17 Did you do anything to him? This is not empathy for the speaker. More trying to get the speaker to empathize with the other person before the speaker has had sufficient empathy.
15 19 You can just rebuild it anyway This is going to strategy before empathy, usually more stimulating.
15 11 Are you upset? This is empathizing with an emotional guess. Demonstrates concern for their emotional state and is usually soothing.
15 9 Do you want respect? Empathy for the need is usually the most soothing. Typically works better if emotion is included.
15 20 Why don‘t you ask him to rebuild it he could do it better. Advice and insult combined, way to go! Hopefully the speaker is not prone to violence.
15 21 It wasn’t very good world anyway, you can rebuild it. Insult then advice; can it get any worse?
